April 2017 to give you a glimpse of the big picture of FMCG in the
latest three months.
Here are some key points derived from the infographic:
GDP increased +5.1% in Q1'17
vs. YA, while CPI was speeding up at +4.8% in YTD April'17 vs. YA.
FMCG still showed volatility
signs. After getting a record peak for many years in the quarter
3/2017, the FMCG growth in the latest three months decreased to 5.5% vs
YA. According to Nielsen Retail Index, it was shown that fluctuation
had been reflected in both urban and rural (+2.2% & +8.5%,
respectively).
However, the slowdown in rural
area is expected to be short-term only. Indeed, the report also reveals
that all rural regions are showing the positive growth in April.
